Enterhealth Outpatient

Just as with other chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma or high blood pressure, successful treatment of drug or alcohol addiction requires a long-term, personalized approach that includes medical and psychological treatment, lifestyle changes and, in some cases, medication. For our Enterhealth Ranch patients living in North Texas, we offer the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence, a private and discreet suite of upscale, comfortable therapy and treatment rooms located in the Park Cities area of Dallas. (If you are not from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, our staff will assist in finding a convenient and qualified outpatient facility through which we can continue supervision and treatment.)

This facility is staffed by a team of experienced physicians, therapists, neuropsychologists, certified nurses and board-certified addiction psychiatrists who are uniquely skilled at understanding how environmental and behavioral factors affect your loved one, and can offer a wealth of information and tools to help your entire family recover.

We combine behavioral therapy, wellness and stress management programs and FDA-approved anti-addiction medicines to improve the outcomes of patients dealing with substance abuse or addiction. Our clinical staff can also conduct urine drug screens, breathalyzers, EKGs and a variety of laboratory tests to monitor sobriety and overall health.

Individual and Group Therapy

Whether it is individual, group or family therapy, the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence provides all the support and tools needed for a successful recovery. Individual, outpatient drug and alcohol addiction therapy is conducted in a one-on-one setting and provides a safe and confidential environment to break through barriers and address the factors that have led to your loved one’s addiction. In group therapy, members are matched with people who are roughly the same age, sex and socio-economic status so they develop a sense of comfort and cohesiveness within the group, while strictly maintaining anonymity.

Lastly, family involvement is critical to long-term recovery. We encourage family members to be involved throughout the treatment process and help them to work through the dynamics of supporting loved ones throughout their recovery. We also offer family-focused support groups so members can share their own problems and concerns with other families who are going through similar stressful circumstances, while helping each other gain strength and insight to work toward realistic family solutions.

Intensive Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are ideal for working professionals who need a structured setting with convenient evening hours as they continue to maintain career and family responsibilities. These programs meet for three hours a day (morning or night), three days a week, for eight consecutive weeks. We also offer a Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP), which provides the support and guidance of an IOP, but with a less intense schedule.

Neuropsychological Evaluation

One of the most important components of a comprehensive and individualized care plan is the neuropsychological evaluation, which provides us with a thorough understanding of the patient’s cognitive, behavioral and emotional function. An Enterhealth neuropsychology assessment includes testing for memory, learning, intellectual and academic abilities; psychomotor and information processing speeds; attention and concentration; language and verbal skills; executive functioning; visuospatial skills; and sensory ability.

Smoking Cessation Program

Our Smoking Cessation Program is provided through our telehealth service platform, which includes telepsychiatry and teletherapy. The technology is a modern form of health care delivery which breaks away from traditional models by using telecommunication systems and wireless communication methods such as tablets and smartphones to connect patients with therapists or doctors. The 12-week session starts with an initial assessment by a psychiatrist, who is able to determine any underlying psychiatric issues before starting treatment. From there, Enterhealth creates a personalized treatment plan aimed at preventing or lessening the withdrawal, anxiety, depression and weight gain that often accompanies stopping nicotine. After that, each patient is given a customized medication plan and attends therapy sessions via telemedicine, so that the patient never has to come into a doctor’s office, but is still able to receive the latest, science-based care to address this life-threatening condition.
